Per Mar Security Services has been a family owned and operated, full-service security company since its inception in 1953. We provide security officer, electronic security, fire alarm and background and investigative services, serving customers in multiple states throughout the Midwest region.

Job Skills / Requirements

We are looking for a temporary security officer in the Cedar Rapids area.

Pay: $17.50 hour

Shift: 7pm to 7am Saturday and Sunday

This is a temporary 2 month position starting on May 13th that could extend out further.

**Must have reliable transportation to and from sites

**Must have a valid drivers license

This is an a temporary position, If you are looking for a full time 40 hours a week job you would need to apply for one of our open full time positions posted.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
Report any facility issues
Request emergency personnel for high risk situations

Qualifications:

18 years of age or older
Familiarity with security equipment
Ability to handle physical workload
Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
Valid drivers license
