Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Huxley Family Med (Lab)

Full-time Benefit Package

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

**$5,000.00 Sign-on Bonus for external candidates.

**New CMA Base Starting Pay $19.72 (Offers are commensurate with experience.)

This CMA role will have a primary focus in the point of care lab setting and will perform other CMA duties as assigned:

• Perform specimen collection, phlebotomy and specimen analysis. Enter lab result values into patient electronic record.
• Room patients and obtain vital signs.
• Assist provider with patient examination, treatment and minor surgical procedures.
• Medication and/or vaccine administration.
• Care Coordination via medication refills, prior authorizations and referral scheduling.
• Test result management and tracking as determined by provider.
• Return patient calls and inquiries via phone or patient portal

Aside from building relationships, exceeding patient expectations and having fun while you work, the following apply:

• Current Certification as a Medical Assistant.
• High school diploma.
• BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
• Strong point of care lab work experience, phlebotomy skills.
• Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
